The most common reason a student misses their target is not that they do not know the material. It is that nobody ever found out which mistakes were actually costing them points.
Sightline students work with one tutor who logs every question they attempt — what it tested, how long it took, and whether they were sure. The study plan comes from that log. Sessions are online, evenings and weekends, and the first two hours are free.

I taught the SAT for the first time in 2019, the year I took it. A guy I met on an SAT forum and I ran free classes for other students on that forum until we graduated. Our parents had paid for books and classes. Most of the people asking questions on that forum did not have that, and the gap between those two groups was never about ability.
I came back to it in 2022 with Tigerway Prep and stayed through the summer of 2025. In the autumn of 2024 a friend asked me to help his younger sister as a favour, and running one student start to finish — my diagnostic, my plan, my notes — is what made me want to do this myself. Every student since has come from somebody telling somebody else.
Most students read choice A, then B, and by C they are already defending A. They are not picking between four answers, they are looking for permission to keep the first one. A lot of what I teach is not content. It is catching that before it decides the answer for you.
FAQ
Let's talk money. How much do you charge?
$50 an hour, sold as a 10-hour package for $500 — half up front, half halfway through. A 4-hour crash course before a test date is $200. Small groups are $350 a student for 10 hours, or $280 each in a group of three or four. No registration fee, no materials fee, no card fee, no contract.
Are the first sessions really free?
Yes. Two full one-hour sessions, no card, no deposit. You see exactly how I teach and what the tracking looks like before anyone pays anything. If it is not a fit, you walk and we part on good terms. Most families know by the end of the second hour.
Who actually teaches the sessions?
I do. All of them. There is no assistant, no rotating tutor, and nobody you have not already met. The person on your free sessions is the person who teaches your child every week after that.
Do you guarantee a score increase?
No, and I would be careful with anyone who does. I also will not print an average point gain on this page. I have only tracked results formally since this year, and a number I cannot back up is worth less than no number. Ask me during the free sessions and I will show you real charts from real students.
How many students do you take?
Five at a time. That is the number of error logs I can read properly between sessions. When the roster is full I will tell you it is full and give you a date rather than take your money and spread myself thinner.
Where are you located?
I am in Ohio. Students are currently in Ohio and Massachusetts. Everything runs on Google Meet, so it works anywhere in the country and nobody has to drive.
When do sessions happen?
Evenings and weekends, mostly. Two 90-minute sessions a week is the usual rhythm. We build the schedule around your child, not the other way around.
Is this the digital SAT?
Yes. The adaptive two-module Bluebook format, including Desmos strategy on the math sections. It is the only version of the test I teach.
What practice tests do you use?
Official College Board forms only. Third-party tests carry curves that can be off by 50 to 200 points, which makes the score from one close to meaningless. I use them for topic drills and nothing else.
What is the tracking you keep mentioning?

What if we need to reschedule?
Twenty-four hours notice and we move it, no charge. Inside that window it comes out of the package.
How soon will we see something?
A written update lands at four weeks with the trajectory, what improved and what did not. Whether the score itself has moved by then depends on the starting point, the test date, and how much homework actually gets done.
