Sightline Prep is run by Subbiah Education Services LLC. Most of our students are under 18, so this is written to be read by a parent rather than by a lawyer.

The free diagnostic collects nothing about you

The eight-question diagnostic needs no account, no email and no name, and it does not set an advertising cookie. When someone finishes it we record the answers themselves — which questions were attempted, how long each took, how confident the person felt — with nothing attached that could identify who they were. We use that to find questions that are not working: if most people miss the same one in twenty seconds, the question is the problem, and there is no other way to discover that.

What we collect when you get in touch

The enquiry form asks for the student's name, a way to reach you, and optionally a test date, a recent score and anything you want to tell us. That is all it sends. We use it to reply and to set your child up with a practice test.

What we collect once tutoring starts

Your child gets a login. Every practice question they attempt is recorded along with what it tested, how long it took and how sure they felt, and that becomes the error log, the mastery grid and the progress chart. Sessions are recorded and written summaries are kept alongside them.

This is the tutoring, not analytics. It is the same information we use to decide what the next session covers, and you can see all of it yourself through the parent view whenever you want.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent anything to anyone.
• We do not share it outside Sightline Prep, except with the services we need to run it — the site host, the app host and email delivery — none of which use it for their own purposes.
• We do not use it for advertising or build profiles for marketing.
• We do not send a newsletter. If we email you, it is about your child.

Recordings

Sessions are recorded so your child can go back over an explanation and so we can write the summary. They are stored privately and shared only with you and your child. If you would rather sessions were not recorded, say so and they will not be.

Getting it corrected or deleted

Email varun@sightlineprep.comand ask. You can see your child's data any time through the parent view, have anything corrected, or have the whole record deleted — including after tutoring ends, which is the point at which most families want it gone. We do not need a reason.

Children

We take students under 18 only with a parent or guardian arranging it. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child without a parent involved, and we do not advertise to children.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Anything that would be a real surprise, we will tell you about directly rather than expecting you to re-read this.
